Why MITA Functional Medicine?
MITA Functional Medicine was founded to address the underlying cause of your health problems and help you overcome these issues permanently. Too much of medicine today is short visits that end with a prescription. Frequently, the patient doesn’t know what the medicine is for, how it works, or how it might interact with other medications the person is already taking. We are each unique, all with slightly different DNA and perhaps with gene markers that can either prevent, or worsen medical conditions. Understanding how your biochemistry works, and how it is affected by your personal, medical and social history is paramount in developing the right plan for you. Initial visits may take 90-120 minutes as we delve into your history, suggest testing and make a plan that is agreeable, affordable and works with your life-style.
